Today..they braved the Rapids






kept a lookout for rock throwing babies and for mayflies with scarlet laced wings




remembered how to swim
made lots of noise together..lotsand explored the banks


everyone was thirsty in this heat
we're thankful for Sonic's happy hour!

thankful for this place where our children can play

Oh, what a wonderful place! I wish we had clean cool river around here...hard with so much traditional ag. We do have some lakes that are 'ok' about an hour away.

That looks like so much fun! Love the water shots.

They are begging to go back today, they had soooo much fun!! normally it's not so "rapidy" :D but with the floods here, our creek seems to now be a river to them.

We are expecting some VERY warm for us temps coming up this weekend... looking forward to some time at the water! The cold Atlantic but we will take it!

Gorgeous pictures! We love to take walks in the woods and wade in the creek. I feel so much more energy in the summer with the extra hours of daylight.
