Hi Shona, Glad to be introduced to your blog via Kate! And I love your little ... helpers? ... in the background. I sometimes have ... helpers? ... too.

Tara said...

I hope you mean me ~ Tara of the nether regions in Maine.

I'll play tag :)

Laundry is such fun isn't it? It multiplies all on its own I think.

Erin, YOU are too! Won't you pretty please play along?

Angela, hi there! Kate's a sweetheart isn't she, I'm very happy to meet you.

Tara, yes, I mean you, my adorable and playful friend in Maine :o)
Now that you mention it, I too have noticed our laundry multilpies independently and I'm guessing it's from eating our socks?

I think the kids throw away my socks....
We have a laundry mountain. It is oppressing us. It is threatening to take over the house. It is creeping through the halls and hanging about in piles in bedrooms. It is becoming omnipresent:0)

Perhaps we should create a shrine for this miraculous laundry mountain and make sock offerings to appease it's voracious appetite for oppressive propagation. It could even have it's own holiday.

lol.......

We'll sing the blues to the shrine known as laundry mountain.

I woke up this mornin’ (dah dwee da dump)
And went back to sleep (dah dwee da dump)
Cause starin’ right at me (dah dwee da dump)
This big wrinkled heap (dah dweedle da dump) (etc.)

Twenty tan and black towels
Just a pile o’ wet fuzz
One little pink sock
Told me right where I was…

Feel free to add lyrics of your choice.
